CLEARPATH IS SAFE FROM THE HEARTBLEED VIRUS
Due to the recent media attention regarding the Heartbleed virus we wanted to let you know your Clearpath online banking and mobile banking programs are safe from this virus. Clearpath does not use the affected implementation of OpenSSL.
Internet safety: As always, it’s a good idea to regularly update your credit union passwords every few months. Changing your Home Banking password will NOT change your Telephone Teller security code. To change your online banking password after logging in, go into Options – Settings - Set Internet Banking password – then follow the directions provided.
Also, monitor your account regularly and report suspicious transactions to the bank immediately. Beware of phishing scams (where individuals try to get you to release confidential information via emails with malicious links or through incoming phone calls). If you are not sure if it’s safe, don’t click on any link but call the institution first to confirm whether it’s safe.
GIFT OF MEMBERSHIP WINNER
A $1,000 check for winning the 2014 Gift of Membership drawing was presented to Jose Luis Salgado by Peggy Morris, Clearpath (CFCU) Director of Marketing & Business Development. Jose, a Key Person at Ralphs Lancaster and 16 year member of CFCU was ecstatic to win the $1,000. He entered the contest because his wife wanted to open an account with CFCU. Jose is eager to share Clearpath with not only his wife, but, also his co-workers. Jose said, “When new employees start their job I always tell them about the benefits of joining Clearpath Federal Credit Union.”
Ten other lucky individuals also won a Golden Getaways Vacation Voucher. We had one long-time member state: “Being a Clearpath member is like winning every day, as the staff is so friendly, there are so many ways to save, and the early direct deposit is a bonus too.” Clearpath continues its vision to provide members with a clear path to financial well being.

Auto Loan Rates are still at record lows – Take Advantage Now!
With Auto Loan Rates as low as 1.49%*, this is the best time to purchase or refinance an Auto Loan. If you are in the market for a new car, get the most buying power for the best deal with a Clearpath Pre-approved loan to show the dealer. This also lets you know your payment and term ahead of time, so you don’t get “loan payment shock”. Often times if you tell the dealer sales representative that you are a credit union member or ask to speak to the Fleet Manager, they will offer a special Credit Union Price near factory invoice prices.
If you are interested in these low rates, call one of our friendly support services representatives at (800) 433-7328, option 3, to help you take advantage of these great rates.
*APR=Annual Percentage Rate. Loan interest rates have a range based on creditworthiness and are subject to change without notice
